eBay introduced eBay Fashion today, a new enhanced shopping experience for clothing, shoes and accessories on eBay. I sat down with eBay Pop Culture expert, Karen Bard, to talk a little more about today’s news…
New functionality and navigation enables shoppers to browse and explore more than 19 million average daily listings. Some of the enhanced features include:
* NEW Browsing Capabilities: One click and you’re shopping. Shoppers can now get to fashion faster with a dedicated “Fashion Tab” in the top navigation on the eBay homepage. The choice to shop by boutique, brand, category, similar items and/or trends allows shoppers a variety of ways to quickly find products of interest.
* NEW Image Similarity Technology: Choose an item and a new “More Like This” feature will surface other apparel and accessories items that are similar in color, shape, pattern and more.
* NEW Boutique Experiences: Popular categories, including Women’s Clothing, Men’s Clothing, Women’s Shoes, Men’s Shoes and Handbags, now have their own exclusive tailored shopping boutiques—making it easier for buyers to shop by brand, style, size and other attributes and refine their product selection quickly and easily.
* NEW Editorial Merchandising: Fashion insiders and stylists share shopping advice with the eBay community by curating shopping lists and looks from the Marketplace. Tips and trends will be presented by a new roster of experts, including Celebrity Stylists Annabel Tollman, Rebecca Weinberg, Kate Young, Estee Stanley and Britt Bardo. More information on the featured stylists will be available on “Fashion Voice”, a hub that profiles the site’s editorial contributors.
* NEW Look: eBay Fashion is the new stylish home base on eBay to help shoppers easily browse the Marketplace’s wide, deep shelves and find the perfect look. A default “Gallery View” for search results and an enhanced “Quick View” function deliver a richer, more visual experience.
