The top-rated seller program doesn’t start until October, but eBay will select a few sellers to display the badge in search results.

eBay announced the Top-Rated Seller program last week.  Unlike the Power Seller program that looks at quantity and high DSR ratings, The Top-Rated Seller program will look at low DSRs (1 and 2 stars). Power Sellers who remain above 0.5% low DSRs and meet other requirements, will earn the Top Seller Badge and a 20% fee discount as well as advantaged placement in search.

eBay will select a handful of sellers to test the badge placement and reaction.
