Don Fotsch, PayPal’s VP of Customer Experience and Design, today announced on The PayPal Blog that the Student Account is officially available, just in time for the back-to-school season.
From his blog post:
The Student Account was designed for the way parents and teens really live today – on cell phones and computers, and with plastic as much as with cash. To read more about the benefits and the way Student Account works, and sign up for your own, check out www.paypal.com/studentaccount.
From the press release:
The Student Account eliminates the hassle of everyday money exchange between parents and teens, while giving teens the chance to learn good spending habits through the experience of being responsible for their own money. Parents can establish up to four PayPal sub-accounts for their teens, transferring funds into those accounts when needed, on a one-time or recurring basis.
